How we serve...
Here at Alpha Chi Omega, our philanthropic cause is Domestic Violence Awareness. We support this cause by working with a local women's shelter in Tucson called Emerge. Emerge is a safe center for women, men, and children to seek help from abusers. They offer many different services, have a hotline, and take donations. In addition, we work with the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation that supports chapters, members, and local communities. Throughout the year we have two main fundraising events: Pizza Pie with Alpha Chi and Kickin' It with Alpha Chi. This past year we raised around $18,000 from our fundraisers. One of our biggest philanthropic accomplishments was receiving the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy award by Tucson Lifestyle Magazine. Check out our feature in the magazine here!
Hello everyone! My name is Lily Waite and I'm so excited to be this year's Vice President of Philanthropy for Alpha Chi for 2022. Here at Alpha Chi Omega we are committed to bringing awareness to domestic violence and prevention in the U of A community and beyond. Our chapter is passionate about opening up and listening to others about their experiences with domestic violence and welcoming them with open arms. We are dedicated to creating an environment where others can feel safe and protected. I am so grateful to serve Alpha Chi and cultivate real strong women within our chapter and community.

KICKIN' IT WITH ALPHA CHI
During the fall semester in October which is Domestic Violence Awareness month we host one of our largest philanthropy events, Kickin' It with Alpha Chi. This event is a kickball tournament where we invite different University of Arizona organizations to create teams and compete for an amazing cause. This past year we raised over $5,000 through this event for Emerge and the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation.
PIZZA PIE WITH ALPHA CHI
During the spring semester we host our annual Pizza Pie with Alpha Chi fundraising event. For this event we sell pizza tickets to the local University of Arizona community and educate others about philanthropy.
